You will need a bag of apples (I found these at Hobby Lobby). They need
to be made out of foam
They come in different sized – choose the bigger ones for this DIY
Cut the apple in half
Next you will need a lip balm container
Place the lip balm container on the half of the apple & trace around it
With a pair of scissors cut out the foam using the circle as your guide
Once the foam is cut out the lip balm container should fit in tight
Take the other half of the apple and repeat the same process
Now put the 2 pieces together
Now to make the DIY lip balm – you will need a microwave safe container
Add 1 TBSP of beeswax
1 TBSP of coconut oil
Melt in the microwave on 20 increments until fully melted
To tint mine I added a piece of lipstick and stirred in until it was melted
Carefully pour into lip balm container (make sure to take it out of the apple)
Place in freezer for about 10 minutes
Now you will need some lollipop sticks
Take a stick and cut in half
Once the lip balm is out of the freezer
Place it back in the apple
Hot glue the lollipop stick to the top of the apple
To make the caramel drizzle – I used gold puffy paint
Once done with drizzle set aside and let the puffy paint dry
You can also add sprinkles (add before puffy paint dries)
And that is all there is to these easy DIY caramel apple lip balms!
